WHAT IS AN EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)?

 

Employees face problems on a daily basis both at work and at home. These personal problems, if not addressed, can affect their psychological and physical well-being, work performance, work ethics and safety. EAP is part of wellness program provided as a benefit for the employees to help employees build positive relationships within the workplace. Depending on the needs of the employee, the program is a short-term and  confidential. EAP services providing counseling & consultation support to individual and groups of employees who are experiencing personal and/or work related problems. 


 

HOW CAN EAP ASSIST EMPLOYEES?

  • Establishing trust and rapport 

  • Understand their presenting problem & concerns in an unbiased, non-judgment environment

  • Identify key problems & explore underlying causes

  • Develop an approach in planning solutions to minimize consequences and restore well-being
